fahr(t)raum - Milestone of mobility
The fahr(T)raum exhibition showcases automobiles that Ferdinand Porsche initially developed with Lohner and later for Austro-Daimler at the beginning of the 20th century. Among them is the "Prinz Heinrich" car, considered the world's first "true" sports car. What few people know is that from 1915 onwards, Ferdinand Porsche also worked on the motorization of agricultural equipment, as can be seen in the "Tractor Barn."

Hochfelln Seilbahn
Take the Hochfelln cable car up to the 1,674-meter-high Hochfelln mountain. At the top, a breathtaking panoramic view awaits you, stretching across Lake Chiemsee, the Chiemgau Alps, and all the way to the Kaiser Mountains.

Eisriesenwelt
The Eisriesenwelt ice cave, located at an altitude of over 1,600 meters high above the Salzach Valley, is the largest ice cave in the world. On a guided tour, visitors cover a distance of about one kilometer and ascend 134 meters in altitude. Climbing over 1,400 steps, they reach enormous natural chambers inside the Tennengebirge mountains, pass through narrow passages, and are constantly surprised by enchanting ice formations.

Castle Herrenchiemsee
Herreninsel is the largest island in Lake Chiemsee and a true highlight of the region. Here, King Ludwig II had the magnificent Herrenchiemsee Palace built, modeled after Versailles.
The opulent Hall of Mirrors and the extensive gardens are particularly impressive. The island is easily accessible by boat – ideal for an unforgettable day trip filled with nature, history, and Bavarian culture.
